Police in Gqeberha are investigating a break-in at a retail store at Baywest Mall on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says it is alleged that the incident happened at about 8 pm.
The front door of the store was forced open before thieves helped themselves to perfumes, sunglasses, phones and other items.
Colonel Naidu says the value of the stolen goods has not yet been established nor how many suspects were involved.
Algoa FM News reached out to the spokesperson of Baywest Nirvani Pillay who said that they are still gathering all the information before a statement can be issued.
Police did not identify the retail store but it is believed to have been Edgars.
A case of housebreaking is under investigation.
