Police are investigating a case of housebreaking and theft following an attempted robbery on a farm on the R102, near Thornhill.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, says Humansdorp K9 members and a private security company responded to a security alarm system that was triggered on Monday, just before midnight.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a television set lying outside of the house.
Nkohli says no one was injured during the incident.
Preliminary investigations reveal the suspects forced open a window but were disturbed by the alarm and decided to flee.
