Police in Thembalethu in the Garden Route have asked the help of the public to assist them with information that can help them with their investigations into nine murders committed in 2018/2019 that have since run cold.
Spokesperson Captain Dumile Gwavu says all nine murders were committed in Thembalethu with not a single arrest made.

Victim: Xolile Zadunge
Date of murder: 23 September 2018
Circumstances: Zadunge was found with two stab wounds on his upper body at Xhipu Street in Zone 3

Circumstances: Body found at 37th Street Zone 7

Circumstances: Body found with stab wounds, following an argument at Tabata Street

Date of Murder: 30 November 2018
Circumstances: Victim was chased by unknown man suspect who stabbed him and ran away.

Date of Murder: 23 December 2018
Circumstances: Stabbed in 29th Street Zone 7 and collapsed in his yard where he was running to.

Date of Murder: 25 December 2018
Circumstances: stabbed in 14th Street Zone 8. He was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and his shoes were lying next to him.

Circumstances: Found at 32nd Street, Zone 7 with a stab wound to the upper body

Victim: Monique Mulle (20)
Date of murder: 17 January 2019
Circumstances: Body found on a tree behind a church in Mahe Street Zonde 9. Her body was covered with a black plastic bag and cardboard. She also had two open wounds on her upper body. Mulle was wearing a T-shirt but was naked from the waist down.

Victim: Sibongiseni Nyangaza (27)
Date of death: Unknown
Circumstances: Victim was being assaulted by community members at a "bundu court" at Asazani. Police managed to rescue him by he died later in hospital.
