The death toll on the Eastern Cape roads continued to climb this weekend.
On Saturday night four people were killed in two separate accidents reported by provincial traffic authorities.
In the one accident, three people were killed in a head-on collision between a small truck and a car on the R58 between Aliwal North and Lady Grey.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said three seriously injured passengers were taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, one person died and two others seriously injured in a collision between two vehicles on N2 between East London and King Williams Town at the Mount Coke crossing.
These fatalities bring to ten the number of people killed on Eastern Cape roads since Friday following two fatal accidents reported on Saturday in which a total of six people were killed.
