An Eastern Cape teacher who was arrested for the murder of a Traffic Officer has been denied bail in the Mthatha Magistrate’s Court.
The Hawks in the province said 34.-year-old Siphesonke Galoshe, appeared in court again on Thursday following numerous previous court appearances since his arrest last October.
The state alleges that the teacher at Tudor Ndamase Senior Secondary School shot 61-year-old Daniel Mxoli with a rifle after he was issued with a traffic fine in Mthatha on 10 October 2022.
Hawks Eastern Cape spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, said Galoshe was arrested in Gqeberha at his sister’s place.
He will be back in court again on 17 March.
