Teacher arrested for having sex with 13 year old

 A 22-year-old teacher from Ceres in the Western Cape has appeared in court in George on a charge of statutory rape.

Police spokesperson, captain Bernadine Steyn, says the man was granted bail in the magistrates court on Wednesday.

Its alleged that the teacher had sex with the 13-year-old girl in a room at a hostel in George on Saturday night.

They were part of a school tour group visiting the Garden Route town at end of the September holidays.

Steyn says his case was postponed to October 22nd.
