Eastern Cape police have established a task team to track down several eight ton trucks stolen in recent weeks.
Lieutenant Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says the latest incident occurred in Mthatha on Saturday when a truck was stolen from a shopping centre.
He says in the past few weeks two other trucks, one containing state medicine, were also stolen.
Fatyela says the medicine was found dumped but the vehicle is still missing.
He says they suspect that the trucks were stolen to use in the construction sector.
