Two Port Elizabeth men, believed to be part of a syndicate involved in a spate of house robberies in the city's Western suburbs, have abandoned their bid for bail in the city's magistrates court.
Twenty-one year old Dylan Passat and 36-year old Michael Malone face various charges of theft, house breaking, possession of unlicenced firearms and defeating the ends of justice.
They are expected to enter into a plea bargain with the state.
The two were allegedly involved in several house robberies in Sherwood, Kabega Park, Kragga Kamma and Ben Kamma.
Charges were previously withdrawn against 40-year old Bluewater Bay mother Debbie du Preez, her daughter Ashleigh Botha and her partner Vernon Strydom earlier in September.
Charges were also withdrawn against a fifth accused , Izak Tweneboah.
