Port Elizabeth police have arrested two suspects for trying to hijack a vehicle transporting cigarettes.
Spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder says the two men are members of a syndicate, and were also involved in various other hijackings in the metro.
He says the suspects, aged between 25 and 30, were arrested in Heugh Road, Walmer on Wednesday morning.
Rheeder says police confiscated two firearms and 9 cellphones.
They will appear in court on Friday.
