Three men believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old e-hailing driver in Nelson Mandela Bay last week have been arrested.
Garrison Snayers, was shot multiple times before his body was found slumped over the steering wheel of the Suzuki vehicle he operated as an e-hailing taxi driver, in Madala Street, in New Brighton.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says a breakthrough in the investigation came in the early hours of Monday morning, when the first suspect, aged 25, was arrested at a house in Ngqolombe Street.
She says a second 25-year-old man was arrested soon after, also in New Brighton.
Naidu says the intensive investigation further lead them to the arrest of a 28-year-old suspect in Central, late on Tuesday night.
Two of the suspects are wanted in other crimes ranging from murder to robbery.
They are expected to appear in the New Brighton Magistrates court soon.
