Suspects in PE court on robbery and weapons charges

 Two young men are due to appear in the New Brighton Magistrates' Court in Port Elizabeth on Monday for robbery and in connection with a mini-arms cache.

Police spokesperson, Warrant-Officer Dumile Gwavu, says the two men, aged 18 and 22, were arrested in KwaZakhele last week, following an armed robbery in the area.

During their follow-up investigations, police came across a number of weapons in one of the suspects home.

These included a hand grenade, two 9mm pistols, magazines and ammunition.
