Three suspects have been arrested in Nelson Mandela Bay for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
Police spokesperson, Constable Mncedi Mbombo, says two men were arrested at a tavern in New Brighton on Sunday, after a tip-off from the public.
When police searched their vehicle, they found a revolver loaded with live ammunition.
In a separate incident yesterday, also in New Brighton, police arrested a 22 year-old man in Hlawula Street and took possession of a firearm loaded with six rounds of ammunition.
