Quick police response, deft detective work and co-operation from informers have led to the arrest of two suspects following an armed robbery in Cradock.
Police spokesperson, Captain Stefanie Smith, says Gert Smit was accosted by two men at his business premises shortly after 7PM.
He was hit on the head with a fire-arm and forced to open a safe, after which the men fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police responded swiftly and activated their network of informers, leading to the arrest of the two suspects just hours after the robbery.
