Two men, who were arrested in Gonubie on Sunday, will appear in the East London Magistrates Court this week for allegedly dealing in drugs.
Police Spokesperson Captain Hazel Mqala says police obtained a search warrant after receiving information about possible drug deals taking place on the property.
She says the K9 unit jumped over the wall of the house and eventually gained access through an open garage door.
Mqala says police identified themselves and presented their search warrant.
Moments later the dog reacted positively for drugs and Mandrax with a street value of nearly R40 000 was recovered along with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police also found 14.9 grams of heroin in the house and digital cameras and laptops which were allegedly stolen.
The suspects aged 33 and 35 is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
