Two suspects will appear in court in George on Friday on charges of theft out of motor vehicles.
They were arrested this week by two off-duty police officials who saw them acting suspiciously in the parking lot of a local chain store in York Street.
Police spokesperson, Malcolm Pojie, says the men were allegedly in possession of remote devices that are used to neutralise a car's remote when the owner tries to lock the vehicle.
He says one of the men was seen getting in a luxury German car after the owner had parked the vehicle and thinking that she had locked it, went about her business.
Pojie says they will also investigate whether the suspects, from Lawaaikamp, could be linked to other similar cases.
