Uitenhage police have arrested two suspects on charges of illegal hunting.
Captain Gerda Swart, says police members were patrolling the area on Tuesday when they noticed suspicious behaviour whilst driving on the R75 near Springs Resort.
Captain Swart says police officers found one person standing next to a security company Isuzu bakkie and noticed a second person in the bushes, carrying a bright light.
Upon investigation, they found a bushbuck that had been shot with a dog next to the dead animal.
Police also confiscated two special revolvers with ammunition.
The two suspects are expected to appear in the Uitenhage Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
