Police have arrested two men for breaking into tourists' vehicles at Storms River on the Garden Route.
Sergeant Majola Nkohli says the suspects were arrested with stolen goods in their possession while driving a rental vehicle on the N2.
Implements used for breaking into vehicles were also recovered.
Sergeant Nkohli says they received reports at around 11h30 on Wednesday of two men seen stealing items from two vehicles that were parked at a fuel station near the N2 in Stormsriver.
The suspects then drove away in a silver VW Polo and within minutes the description of the vehicle had been circulated on all police communication channels.
Sergeant Nkohli says police spotted the car on the N2 near Humansdorp and pulled it over.
Items belonging to the tourists at Storms River as well as a remote jamming device and other implements were found inside.
Its been established that the vehicle was a rental, that had been fitted with false registration plates.
The two men aged 28 and 29 are due to appear in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of theft and possession of suspected stolen property.
