Three men will appear in court in Grahamstown this week after being arrested following a hot-pursuit that began in the City of Saints and ended near East London.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, said the arrests came about through the integrated coordination by several police clusters, traffic officials and private security officials on Monday.
Govender said the suspects were allegedly involved in a house robbery in Grahamstown.
She says the details of the vehicle was circulated through several emergency channels, leading to a hot pursuit which ended near Kidds Beach in East London where the car overturned.
Two of the suspects were arrested as they tried to flee the crash scene, but the third one managed to get away.
Govender says the suspects, in their late twenties, faces charges that include house robbery, malicious damage to property and reckless and negligent driving.
