Four suspects have been arrested following a foiled attempt to rob a shop in Port Elizabeth's Central Business District.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says one fire-arm and three toy guns were recovered during the arrests in Govan Mbeki Avenue on Friday morning.
He says the suspects allegedly tried to rob a business but fled when members of the Business Watch arrived.
There's also an unconfirmed report that a shot had been been fired.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
