Police in Port Elizabeth are looking for a man who robbed a supermarket in Havelock Street, Central on Tuesday night.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says the man, who was armed with pepper spray, entered the supermarket pretending to be a customer.
The suspect loaded some groceries into a box and went to the counter.
Labans says he then took out pepper spray and sprayed the 22-year-old complainant in the face, before going around the counter where he helped himself with airtime and cash from the till.
No arrests have been made.
