The suspect who allegedly shot the sons of Kouga councillor Jaques Alexander has been denied bail.
Juavandré Louw, 23, appeared in the Humansdorp Magistrates Court on Thursday.
He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
The State alleges that the 23-year-old shot and wounded Asif and Jacquin Ruiters at the Beachfront Nightclub in Jeffreys Bay on 17 March.
The Ruiters brothers were both shot in their stomachs just two weeks after Alexander survived an attempt on his own life.
The two incidents are seemingly not linked, according to police.
Louw will remain in custody until his next court appearance on 9 May.
