Twenty-nine year old Nigerian National, Muhammed Aliko, has made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates court.
He is accused of murdering 44-year old Mohammed Laher, who was wheelchair bound and died after being assaulted with a cable and stabbed with a pencil in a South End Mosque earlier this month.
Aliko was expected to make a formal bail application on Monday.
However the state asked for a postponement for further investigation.
The court heard that Aliko is in possession of South African, Nigerian and British passports and that he had undergone military training.
