Suspect arrested shortly after PE robbery

Port Elizabeth police have arrested a suspect, shortly after security guards were robbed at a business in North End on Monday afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says a fire-arm was also recovered during the arrest.

She says two men accosted the security guards collecting cash from a drop safe at a motor spares business in Todd Street.

Janse Van Rensburg says the suspected getaway car was also recovered.

Police are still searching for at least four other suspected robbers who fled the scene.
