Western Cape police have arrested a 21-year-old suspect after a t two-year-old girl from Smutsville in Sedgefield was stabbed to death.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies said police were called to a house in Smutsville at around midnight on Tuesday.
He said upon arrival they found the body of the toddler with multiple stab wounds.
She was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
Spies said a man has been arrested on a charge of murder.
He is expected to make his first court appearance in the Knysna Magistrates Court soon.
