Police have made a breakthrough in the investigation into the murder of a Plettenberg Bay woman, 63-year-old Penelope Cumming.
Police found her naked body in her home in the Schoongezigt Country Estate, in Piesang Valley Road, on Monday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, said the exact cause of death will be determined by a post-mortem.
He says a suspect in his mid-twenties was arrested on Tuesday morning. He will be charged with murder and will appear in the local Magistrates court on Thursday.
He was positively linked to the crime by video footage as well as forensic evidence taken on the scene.
Cumming's vehicle was found burned out near Knysna.
