Eastern Cape police have arrested the suspect they believe was involved in the murder of the 15-year-old girl whose body was found in a grave at a house in Qawukeni Village near Qonce (King Williams Town).
Police said the 37-year-old suspect was arrested at Lower Mthombe Locality outside Qonce on Wednesday night.
Spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci, said the circumstances surrounding the teen's murder forms part of the investigation into the girl's disappearance on Sunday.
"The cause of death is unknown and will be confirmed by post mortem.
A case docket of murder has been registered and the investigation continues," Soci said.
The suspect is due to appear in court soon.
