Uitenhage police have arrested a suspect who was allegedly involved in a business robbery in Despatch this week.
Police warrant officer Gerda Swart says he was one of four men who allegedly robbed a spaza shop of an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, cellphones and airtime on Wednesday night
She says police who were alerted to the robbery chased the suspects to Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth, where one man was arrested.
The others managed to evade arrest.
Swart says the suspect, who's in his thirties, will appear in court soon.
