Port Elizabeth police have arrested a 36 year-old man after several vehicles believed to have been stolen were found in his yard in Bethelsdorp.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says police were initially investigating an abandoned vehicle parked in the street when they noticed people taking vehicles apart on a property nearby.
The Vehicle Identification Unit was called in and they found five cars in the yard that had been stolen in Jeffrey's Bay, and in Mount Road and Humewood, Port Elizabeth, this year.
It was also established that the vehicle found abandoned in the street had been stolen in Jeffrey's Bay on Monday during a house robbery.
The suspect will appear in court soon.
