Suspect arrested for alleged murder of Cradock teacher

A man from Cradock is expected to appear in court on Friday in connection with the alleged murder of a local teacher, 43-year old Theresa Buys.

Police spokesperson, Captain Stephanie Smith says the suspect was arrested in Michausdal on Wednesday after Buys' missing car was spotted in the area by police.

She says police divers also conducted a search of the Fish River on Thursday but will resume the search on Friday.

Smith says an initial missing persons docket has been changed to one of murder.
