Suspect appears in court for brutal Mossel Bay murder

A 30-year-old man accused of murdering a Mossel Bay resident who's body was found in his Heyderand apartment last Friday night, appeared in the town's Magistrate court on Wednesday.
Garden Route Correspondent Louise Karsten reports.
The suspect, Quintin Seyffert appeared in front of magistrate Retha Pretorius on a charge of murder.
The victim, 55-year old Daniel Bekker's throat was slit with a knife.
Police members discovered the body of the deceased on Sunday in what they described as one of the most horrific murder scenes.
Police members had to receive counseling after the investigation.
The suspect faces other possible charges as the victim's motorcycle was thrown in the sea.
Police members retrieved the motorcycle shortly after the murder.
The suspect will appear for a bail application on Monday 11th of August.
