Water supply to parts of Summerstrand and Humewood affected due to damaged water pipe, a statement from the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality said.
"Water supply to Summerstrand, Walmer, Humewood and Humerail and surrounds will be affected on Monday afternoon due to a 525 mm diameter steel water pipe that was damaged by a contractor at the Port Elizabeth International Airport."
"Work is under way and four water tankers will be deployed in the area. The municipality will fix the pipe and start with the necessary procedure to recoup damages from the relevant contractor. No time frame for the restoration of supply is available at this stage."
"Residents can contact the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality's 24 hour service delivery centre at 0800 20 50 50 if they would like to find out where the tankers are."
