Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder and house robbery after a 37-year old man was found strangled to death in his home in Malabar.
Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said police received information on a suspected stolen vehicle which led them to a hotel in Summerstrand.
She says a 24-year old man was found with a black Mercedes- Benz and arrested on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.
Janse Van Rensburg said upon further investigation police were led to a house in Crammer Street in Malabar where they found a 66- year old woman who had been assaulted.
She said police also found the body of 37-year old Bhaven Moodley who appeared to have been strangled to death.
Janse Van Rensburg says police are investigating the possibility that the 24-year old suspect could be linked to the house robbery and murder.
