Port Elizabeth police have recovered tyres to the value of R2m, following the arrest of 5 suspects during a hi- jacking in Markman.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Thembi Gwe says police traced the suspects, aged between 18 and 36, using a tracking device.
She says the suspects were arrested on Monday night in Motherwell and Kwadesi.
"They managed to arrest two suspects at one house in Motherwell they recovered about 200 tyres. They then followed up more information and arrested three suspects in Kwadesi. Two bedrooms in the house were full of tyres. The suspects will face charges of hi-jacking and the possession of stolen goods" she said.
