There's still no sign of a 16-year-old Port Elizabeth boy who went missing in the sea at Jeffreys Bay on Sunday.
The boy was on an outing with a church group from Zwide when he and a teenage girl got into difficulty.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, said the girl was hauled out of the water but the boy was not so lucky.
He says an extensive search continued today.
"There's still no sign of the 16-year-old who went missing despite an extensive search which continued today (Monday). They included the police and NSRI Jeffreys Bay," Lambinon said.
He added that the NSRI had withdrawn from the scene while "trauma counsellors have taken over the care of the family."
Lambinon said the police are now dealing with the matter.
