The NSRI says the search for a man who was reported missing in the sea at Stilbaai will continue today.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, says a protracted search was conducted on Monday for the 29-year-old man from Albertinia.
He says a rescue craft from NSRI Stilbaai was deployed to assist the police dive unit, but despite the ongoing search no sign of the man has been found.
A local resident has volunteered his aircraft and it will join the search party today
Meanwhile, Lambinon says the full moon Spring Tide is now in effect.
He's issued the following warning......
"Anyone visiting the coastline will notice the high tides to be higher than normal, the low tides to be lower than normal and rip currents to be stronger than normal all brought about by this full moon Spring Tide.
Bathers and shoreline anglers are urged to be extra cautious along the coast as it the Spring Tide will peak by Wednesday.
