The Kouga Municipality have asked residents in the Wavecrest are of Jeffrey's Bay to use water sparingly.
Spokesperson for the municipality Laura Leigh Randall says due to the current power outage, water cannot be pumped from boreholes, and therefore the reservoir levels are dropping.
Jeffrey's Bay, including Aston Bay and Paradise beach have been without power since yesterday, after a fault on the main line.
Randall says they hoped to have the power on last night, but the estimated time is now at 3 o clock this afternoon, if all goes according to plan.
She says the repair vehicles got stuck on the mud, following all the rain, causing further delays.
