Still no arrest 10 days after brutal murder of PE mother

Police in Port Elizabeth have confirmed that no arrests have yet been made in the gruesome murder of 26-year-old PE mother, Shenice Jonathan.

Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says they continue to follow up on every possible lead.

She also confirmed that the young woman was not raped, despite rife speculation amongst the community.

Her mutilated body was found with multiple stab wounds lying in an open field in Schauderville last week.

Naidu further condemned a false social media post that claims the suspects involved in her murder had been arrested and urges the public to refrain from publishing unverified information.

She further urges anyone with any information that could lead to the arrest to come forward.

Jonathan's body was discovered by a resident in an open field in Thornton Street 10 days ago.
