The state has called for a life sentence to be imposed on a Port Elizabeth man convicted of the murder of Nelson Mandela Bay traffic officer, Neal Domingo.
Prosecutor Jason Thysse also called for a sentence of 15 years to be imposed on 31-year-old Gavin Minnie, for robbery with aggravated circumstances and no less than 20 years for the illegal posession of a fire-arm and ammunition, his second such offence.
His lawyer pleaded for leniency arguing that he can be rehabilitated.
Minnie was convicted on Thursday of Domingo's murder on the basis of common purpose even though he was not the actual shooter.
