Port Elizabeth police are searching for four suspects who ransacked a house in Mount Croix on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the domestic worker, a gardener and two painters were tied up during the robbery.
No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspects, one armed with a firearm, ransacked the house looking for valuable goods.
Two people living in an adjoining garden flat phoned the owner of the house who then alerted police.
Meanwhile, police have reported a spike in house robberies in Zwide and Kwazakhele.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Thembi Gwe, says residents have been advised to improve their home security.
