A 38-year-old woman from Port Elizabeth is expected to appear in the Magistrates Court on Thursday following her arrest for allegedly being drunk and disorderly at her workplace.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says Walmer SAPS responded to a complaint at the takeaway outlet in Circular Drive at around 9 pm on Wednesday.
She says on arrival the manager pointed out the female employee who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Manager, she became aggressive and destructive inside the premises when confronted.
The employee was arrested for malicious damage to property.
Algoa FM News was reliably informed that the incident took place at a Debonairs outlet in Lorraine.
The arrest comes just one day after the national alcohol ban was lifted under the adjusted Lockdown Level 3 restrictions.
