The funeral service of one of the slain Ngcobo policemen took place at Vidgesville, outside Mthatha in the Eastern Cape on Friday.
Warrant Officer Zuko Mbini was one of five policemen and a soldier who were killed when gunmen attacked the Ngcobo police station last Wednesday.
Seven suspects were subsequently killed, when a police task team swooped on the Mancoba Seven Angels Ministry Church in a village near Ngcobo several days later.
Six people have already appeared in court in connection with the police station attack. They will be applying for bail on 8 March.
Meanwhile, two other policemen, Constable Kuhle Mateta will be laid to rest on Saturday, 3 March in Ncora Administrative Area at Cofinvaba while Constable Zuko Ntsheko will be buried on Sunday at Ngcobo.
Two other slain colleagues, Constables Sibongiseni Sandla and Nkosiphendule Pogco, will be buried next weekend.
Funeral details of the soldier who died in the deadly attack are not yet known.
