A Cessna light-aircraft from Skydive Mossel Bay made an emergency landing on Wednesday, shortly after a group of skydivers jumped out of the aircraft.
According to a statement, the skydivers were already safely on the ground after the jump when the pilot was forced to land at Aalwyndal smallholdings near to the airfield.
“The pilot is fine and there were no injuries. There is minor damage to the aircraft and minimal damage to property boundary fencing,” the statement said.
Skydive Mossel Bay said authorities were “soon on the scene carrying out their investigations and work is already underway to repair the fence and remove the aircraft”.
