Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says a truck collided head-on with a car.
An SUV with seven occupants collided with an articulated truck with two trailers which only had the driver on board.
Six people in the SUV were killed, three men and three women.
One adult male passenger sustained critical injuries along with the truck driver.
They were both taken to the Cradock Provincial Hospital for further medical assistance.
