Six people have been killed following a head-on collission in Mossel Bay
Police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says a Fidelity vehicle and a Ford Icon collided head-on on Louise Fourie Road on Wednesday night.
Twelve people were also injured in the accident.
Spies says a preliminary investigation suggests that the Fidelity vehicle was travelling in the direction of Mossel Bay when the Ford Icon turned right, onto the N2.
Three women and two children were declared dead on the scene while another child died upon arrival at the George Hospital.
KwaNonqaba police are investigating a case of culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving.
The ages and identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
