At least 6 people have been killed in two separate road accidents in the Eastern Cape.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Tsepo Machaea says 3 people were killed in a head-on collision on the N2 near the Nanaga interchange on Friday morning, when a Ford Bantam bakkie collided head-on with a Volkswagen minibus.
He says all three occupants of the bakkie died at the scene.
The driver of the minibus was seriously injured.
On Thursday night, a bakkie, transporting local residents, overturned on the R410 between Cala and Elliot, after the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.
Machaea says two people were killed instantly, and a third died in hospital on Friday.
He says 7 others were seriously injured, and taken to Cala hospital.
