Police at Komani have arrested six suspects between the ages of 39 and 69 years for the possession of 48 stolen sheep.
Captain Kaya Tonjeni says Stock theft and crime intelligence unit members conducted an operation during the early hours of Sunday morning at all entry points around the Tilden policing area.
Six suspects, including a minor, were arrested after the two bakkies loaded with live sheep were stopped and searched.
The sheep will now be returned to their rightful owners while those arrested will appear in the local Magistrate's Court soon on charges of stock theft.
