A former presenter from a community radio station, Kingfisher FM, appeared in the Port Elizabeth magistrate’s court on Wednesday on a charge of sexual assault.
The 36-year old presenter, who cannot be named until he has pleaded, is currently out on bail of R2000.
According to the state, the former presenter, who was arrested in August last year, allegedly made several threatening phone calls to a 22-year old woman.
He allegedly claimed that he was going to rape and sexually assault her.
The DJ is being represented by well known Cape Town defence attorney William Booth.
