Several people were injured when a large group of cows on the N-2 outside Port Elizabeth resulted in a number of early morning accidents.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says a truck, carrying steel, lost its load, after colliding with the cows just before 4am.
She says three other accidents, including a vehicle roll-over, were reported from the scene.
Janse Van Rensburg says several cows were killed.
She says motorists should use old Cape Road because the affected section of the N-2 will be closed for several hours.
