Police in George have mobilised all their resources as part of a 72-hour activation plan following a shooting incident in Thembalethu on Sunday where seven people were shot and injured.
Captain Malcolm Pojie says the seven victims were having a braai in Zone 6 when unknown gunmen stopped and allegedly opened fire.
He says, however, that police did recover a firearm at the scene that may have been used in the attack as well as several spent cartridges.
Pojie says an attempted murder docket was opened and they hope to make a breakthrough in the case soon.
