Second hand car dealer pleads guilty to fraud in commercial crimes court in Port Elizabeth

Second hand car dealer Andre Willem Niemand pleaded guilty on all but one charge leveled against him in the PE Commercial Crimes Court on Monday.
According to the charge sheet, Niemand sold various motor vehicles at a car dealership in Disa Avenue, Newton Park, but unlawfully converted the proceeds of the sales for his own use. On other occasions, he received payments from prospective buyers, but failed to deliver the motor vehicles to them.
The total value of the cars in question came to almost R2 million rand. Niemand will be sentenced on the 1st of August.
